When a report is made, the Title IX Coordinator receives the report and responds to it by offering supportive measures and resolution procedures.

After the report is received and the complainant wishes to proceed with the grievance process, an assessment is made on if the complaint meets the standard for Title IX resolution.
The complaint meets the standard if the reported conduct:
Is prohibited conduct according to the Sexual Misconduct & Sex-Based Discrimination Policy
Occurs within the United States
Occurs within Colby-Sawyer's education program
The complainant is participating in the college's education program.
If the complaint received is anonymous or complainant does not want to proceed with the formal grievance process, informal resolution may be pursued.
